  • 1 lb            ground beef  (or ground chicken or turkey)      
  • 1/2 c          chopped onion
  • 1/4 c          chopped green pepper          
  • 2 strips      bacon
  • 3/4 c          rice                         
  • 2 c             crushed tomatoes
  • 1/4 c          chili sauce               
  • 1 tsp          brown sugar
  • 1 c             water                                  
  • 1 tsp          Worchestershire sauce

Cook bacon, add beef, onions, green pepper and cook.  Add remaining ingredients and cook covered for 1/2 hour on low until rice is cooked.
