Burlington Ontario is the third best city of live in Canada. According to MoneySense magazine, in its annual rating of 179 Canadian cities and towns of more than 10,000 people, Burlington came up a notch in 2010.
There are five categories an
d 17 factors including property, housing, lifestyle, crime, health, weather and the ability to walk or bike to work. The ratings are based on an analysis of data from private and leading public sources including Statistics Canada. Burlington had top marks on lower overall crime rates, population growth and job prospects plus strong household and discretionary incomes.
Burlington also scored on affordable housing with a wide variety of choices in real estate, access to quality healthcare, easy access to two universities and colleges, access to the QEW, 403 and 407 highways, good shopping and sunny mild climate.
Burlington is building a new performing arts centre, has its own art gallery, great waterfront and Joseph Brant Hospital is being redeveloped.
