The Orchard

The Orchard area of Burlington is situated from Dundas Street to the north and Upper Middle Road to the south and Appleby Line to around Orchard Road heading east.  Homes in the Orchard are generally from six to eleven years old.  The are a few semi detached and townhomes available also.

The Orchard is a quaint area with attractive houses, most with single car garages and some with double garages and from approximately 1300 to 2500 square feet. Its close proximity to Appleby Line and the 407 just above Dundas make it a great place to live when commuting to Toronto.  Also off Appleby line to the south is a QEW access and a GO station.

Both Orchard Park Public School and St..Elizabeth Seton Roman Catholic Elementary School are located on Dryden Avenue.

Mattamy and Losani were the main home builders in this area.  The homes are brick and/or siding and the area has a close community feel.   Also on Appleby Line are four malls with Zellers, Canadian Tire, Ultra Mart, Wallmart, Winners, several restaurants and other smaller stores.

Bronte Woods

Bronte Woods is east of Orchard Road and between Dundas and Upper Middle.  Most homes in this area are under six years old.

Alexander's Public School and St Christopher Roman Catholic School are located on Sutton Drive.

The detached homes in this area range in size from approximately 1800 to 3500 square feet.  Most homes are brick and a large number have double car garages.  There are also pockets of very attractive townhouses available.

The main builders for this subdivision are Fernbrook and Sundial Homes with some homes by Brant Haven.  The area has easy access to the 407, QEW and GO station for commuters to the Toronto area.

The secondary schools are Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Secondary School located at 5150 Upper Middle Rd and Robert Bateman Secondary School on New Street.

For more information on buying or selling a home in these communities call Gail Fabiani 905-577-0220.
