Meat
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 – 2 oz sautéed mushrooms
- 1 small onion
- 10 oz beef broth
Fry together everything except broth until cooked, sprinkle with 1 tbsp flour and stir. Add broth and cook until thickened. Cool then spread on pastry.
Pastry
- 2 c Flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp poultry seasoning
- ¼ c shortening or cold butter
- ¾ c milk
Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in butter, add milk. Bring together in ball and roll out to 12 x 9 “ rectangle. Spread meat ½ inch from edges, wet edges and press together . Place cut side down on parchment lined baking sheet. Bake at 425 deg for 30 minutes.
